Impact:

There is greater awareness amongst stakeholders of the toolkit and how it can be deployed to support
uptake of languages.
•
The toolkit is now available as a resource within every post-primary school in Ireland, including an Irish
language version for the Irish medium schools.
•
Teachers who attended the sessions to support use of the toolkit in September 2023 reported in feedback
that they had an opportunity to share ideas and practise how to use the toolkit to best effect, and that
they would recommend using the toolkit to promote language uptake amongst incoming first year.
Feedback was very positive from these sessions and included the following comment

“This was a worthwhile session where we had a great opportunity to exchange ideas”

Next Steps:
•
Provide a series of online sessions in September 2024 to support ongoing use of the toolkit.
•
Undertake periodic review of the toolkit content so that it remains interesting, relevant, and responsive to
the needs of school communities.
