PPLI continue to provide activities and resources which support the provision of high-quality education, meeting
the needs of diverse students with a diversity of language backgrounds, and improving the teaching and
learning of foreign languages in general in schools. Teachers continue to be trained in new methodologies in
the context of blended learning, online learning and CLIL, in addition to language specific CPD, all of which is
contributing to the development of valuable capacity in our system.
I would like to again express my sincere appreciation for all that PPLI does to promote language learning in
Ireland, and to wish PPLI the very best for the coming year.
