Students who attended PPLI Leaving Certificate classes achieved very good results in 2023 - over 40% of
students were awarded a H1
•
Attending the classes helps the students maintain their heritage language, which has a positive impact on
their well-being
•
By offering CPD and support to Lithuanian language teachers and facilitating language-specific
Communities of Practice, PPLI ensures the delivery of high-quality language education, which in turn
enhances the overall academic experience and achievement of students
Next Steps:
•
Continue provision of Lithuanian language classes in 2024.
•
Investigate development of an online Saturday class to better support learners living outside the main
urban centres
