Activity:
The Teaching Council Criteria Shortfall Funding Scheme
In total 25 applications have been successful, and seven teachers have been able to register for their target
language since the start of the scheme in 2021. Two applications were successful in 2024, and an additional
three teachers registered with the Teaching Council for their target language.
Impact:
•
Feedback from teachers has been positive, as the scheme has assisted them to register for their target
language.
•
Teachers completing registration for their target language has increased qualified teaching capacity in
schools.
Next steps:
•
Continue to operate the schemes in 2025.
