Overview:
In 2025, PPLI exhibited at three other large-scale student events: Higher Options, Career Options Cork, and
the Goethe-Institut Career Roadshow. At each event, the PPLI exhibition stand provided a dedicated space for
students, teachers, and guidance counsellors to engage with team members specialising in foreign language
education. Staf used personal and professional experience to highlight the beneots of language study and
the broad range of supports available through PPLI and Languages Connect.
Main Aims:
•
Raise awareness of the personal, social, and career beneots of language skills and foster enthusiasm for
language learning.
•
Highlight PPLI supports, such as Leaving Certiocate Language classes and the Languages Connect olter
on CareersPortal.ie.
•
Gather insights from students, teachers, and guidance counsellors regarding perceptions of language
learning and areas where additional support may be needed.
Activity:
During autumn 2025, PPLI exhibited at Higher Options at the RDS, Dublin, and Career Options Cork in
Douglas, Co. Cork. PPLI also took part in the Goethe-Institut Career Roadshow, hosted by St Kilian9s German
School, Dublin. Across all events, PPLI operated under the Languages Connect brand, engaging in in-depth
