PPLI’s partnership with CareersPortal.ie remained central to guidance communications in 2025. Activities
included:

Monthly inclusion of Languages Connect articles in CareersPortal newsletters.
•
A Languages Connect tile appearing across all 33 career sectors on the website.
•
Regular social media updates promoting language-related content.
•
Continuous updates to the Languages Connect Course Finder, ensuring all major, minor, and elective
third-level language courses were listed.
Impact:
•
Improved awareness among guidance counsellors of the role of languages in subject choice, further
study, and career pathways.
•
Strong engagement with language-related content on CareersPortal.ie, including:
• 290,000 visitors to language-sector pages
• 25,000 visitors to language-career videos
• 25,000 visitors to language subject-choice pages
