Preparation for the 2025-2026 Cohort
In May 2025, PPLI, together with the Inspectorate and the Department of Education and Youth, hosted two
information sessions for schools that had been successful in their FLA applications for the 2025-2026 scheme.
These sessions focused on supporting schools to prepare in advance of their FLA9s arrival. On the same
evenings, PPLI delivered pre-arrival sessions for CTs to support them in planning for their role in hosting the
FLA.

FLA Induction and CT-FLA Support Sessions
In October 2025, PPLI once again supported the Department of Education and Youth at the annual FLA
induction. During this event, PPLI outlined the range of teaching and learning supports available for FLAs.
The induction also enabled FLAs to meet their dedicated PPLI Link Associate and other FLAs assigned to the
same region. The Link Associate acts as a contact point for teaching and learning queries throughout the year.
