Following induction, PPLI hosted its annual series of CT-FLA support sessions in October 2025. These inperson events were delivered by PPLI Associates in 19 venues nationwide over a two-week period. A recordbreaking 390 participants registered, the highest number to date. The sessions focused on developing
collaboration between CTs and FLAs, planning for the academic year and sharing practical classroom ideas.

Communities of Practice for FLAs
PPLI concluded 2025 by hosting a dedicated series of online Communities of Practice for FLAs in December.
These sessions created a structured space for collaboration, peer learning and the sharing of efective
classroom practices across diferent regions and language contexts.
Impact:

In 2025, PPLI further expanded and reoned its supports for the FLA scheme, ensuring that FLAs, CTs and
schools were better equipped to plan efectively and enhance language learning experiences.

Record participation in CT-FLA sessions renected increasing engagement with, and recognition of, the
value of PPLI9s supports.
•
Comprehensive pre-arrival, induction and early-year supports improved FLA preparedness and
conodence, contributing to smoother integration into school communities.
•
Stronger CT-FLA partnerships and more innovative teaching practices contributed to richer intercultural
and language learning experiences for students.
Next Steps:
•
Launch new online CT-FLA Communities of Practice in January 2026 to strengthen collaboration and
professional dialogue between CTs and FLAs.

Review and update the content of the annual CT-FLA support sessions scheduled for October 2026,
ensuring alignment with emerging teaching and learning priorities, participant feedback and evolving
school needs.

Continue reoning PPLI9s teaching and learning supports across the FLA scheme, using insights from
surveys, induction feedback and regional sessions to enhance resources, guidance materials and prearrival supports.
