Overview:
Spotlight on Schools is a series of teacher-created resources that showcase good practice in Modern Foreign
Language (MFL) departments and classrooms across Ireland. The series supports a professional learning
community where teachers can engage with practical, evidence-based teaching and learning strategies and
adapt them to suit their own contexts.
Main Aims:
•
Share and showcase examples of good practice in MFL education across Irish schools.
•
Encourage MFL teachers to learn from one another.
•
Support and disseminate innovative teaching methodologies across the MFL community.
Activity:
In 2025, three case studies were published as part of the Spotlight on Schools series. Each explored a
diferent theme and highlighted approaches that can be adopted or adapted by other schools.
