Overview:
In 2025, PPLI continued to develop, review and promote a wide range of resources and tutorials to enhance
the quality, consistency and accessibility of language teaching and learning. This work included updating
existing materials, establishing new partnerships and disseminating established supports to teachers
nationwide.
Main Aims:
•
Provide teachers with practical, high-quality resources and tutorials that enhance teaching and learning.
•
Foster the adoption of innovative teaching methodologies across all languages.
•
Strengthen the uptake of languages in schools by supporting efective and engaging classroom practice.
Activity:
Throughout 2025, PPLI developed and explored a variety of supports to ensure that resources remain
relevant, accessible, and aligned with evolving teaching needs. Collaboration continued with partners such
as Oide Technology in Education, while a new partnership was established with Gaisce - The President9s
Award.

This resource was created to support post-primary teachers in raising the
proole of languages. It presents a range of ideas, from whole-school events to
everyday classroom activities, that can be adapted to suit diverse school
contexts. The resource aims to inspire student interest and strengthen the
presence of languages within school communities.

Tutorials
AudioPen Tutorial
PPLI continued to expand its suite of digital technology tutorials. In 2025, a
new tutorial was developed on AudioPen, demonstrating how the tool can be
used to analyse, reorganise, summarise or transcribe oral speech for classroom
use. A full review of existing digital technology tutorials also took place, with
those integrating new AI features identioed for redevelopment to maintain
AudioPen Tutorial
relevance and pedagogical value.
