Transition Year (TY) Beginners’ Modules
Building on revised TY Beginners9 Modules in German, Spanish, Italian, French and
Polish, the Chinese module was updated in 2025. These modules are designed for
Transition Year students beginning a new language and can also be adapted for
Leaving Certiocate Applied (LCA) or Leaving Certiocate Vocational Programme
(LCVP) contexts. Each module includes student tasks, and a teacher section
outlining topic overviews, task descriptions and learning outcomes.
