Impact:
One of the most valuable outcomes of the Think-ins was direct engagement with MFL teachers. Through
discussions, group tasks and informal exchanges, teachers shared grounded insights into:
•
their varying levels of digital readiness and access to AI tools;
•
context-specioc challenges such as policy uncertainty, workload and time constraints;
•
strong interest in practical, time-saving AI applications to support classroom practice.
The events also strengthened collaboration between PPLI and Oide Technology in Education, and deepened
engagement with stakeholders including the Inspectorate, NCCA, Scoilnet, COGG and Higher Education
Institutions.
Next Steps:
•
Repeat the AI for MFL Teachers Think-In in 2026 to broaden national engagement.
•
Develop and deliver a dedicated follow-up AI event for MFL teachers based on identioed needs.
•
Develop and disseminate supports and resources to assist language teachers in integrating AI into
classroom practice
