20 PPLI Associates
Overview:
PPLI Associates are post-primary language teachers who play an essential role in implementing and
advancing key actions in the Languages Connect Strategy. Located across the country, they build regional
capacity, strengthen links with schools and provide direct, practical support to teachers, Foreign Language
Assistants (FLAs) and school communities. Their work ensures that PPLI’s national actions are grounded in
day-to-day classroom realities.
Main Aims:
•
PPLI associates serve as leaders in promoting good practice in language education by sharing expertise at

•
They support FLAs with teaching and learning queries throughout the year;

They act as a bridge between classroom practice and the PPLI team, providing contextualised feedback
