PPLI strengthened its relationships with ITE providers, reinforcing its role as a key supporter of teacher
education and innovation in language pedagogy.
•
Information sessions were ofered to 250 Professional Master of Education (PME) students preparing to
teach modern foreign languages under the redeveloped Primary School Curriculum.
•
More than 100 pre-service teachers were introduced to PPLI9s resources, innovative methodologies and
plurilingual and intercultural approaches, providing them with practical strategies
for future classroom practice.
Next steps:
•
Strengthen and expand collaborations with ITE providers.
•
Continue visiting ITE providers to raise awareness of available supports for future language teachers.
•
Encourage pre-service teachers to join Communities of Practice and make use of PPLI and Languages
Connect resources during their school placement.
