Parallel Provision Model - Leaving Certificate Language Classes
PPLI facilitates Leaving Certiocate Language Classes to support students who wish to take the more recently
introduced language examinations for the Leaving Certiocate that are not accessible to them in their regular
school setting.
The following table illustrates the language classes and numbers of students who registered in September 2025.

Classes in a variety of languages are provided online and at venues in Dublin, Cork, and Galway, primarily on
Saturday mornings. These classes are attended by over 750 students across 36 class groups of ofth and sixthyear students. A new online Lithuanian class was introduced in September 2025 to accommodate growing
demand. There was also strong demand for Polish, resulting in the formation of two ofth year online groups
for a second consecutive year. The full Leaving Certiocate curriculum is implemented in all classes.
