mathematically charged adventure, as students meticulously calculated expenses and used MS PowerPoint to showcase
their proposed destination. Microsoft Teams was used as a collaborative tool to facilitate seamless communication and
coordination, ensuring that every member of each team had a voice in the planning process.
As the activity progressed, it became evident that language proficiency was just one facet of a much larger tapestry.
Through their shared enthusiasm and collective efforts, students demonstrated that language and culture are not
barriers to be overcome, but rather gateways to new experiences and connections.
In the end, the journey was not limited to the confines of a classroom. It was a voyage of discovery, fuelled by curiosity,
creativity, and a shared passion for exploration. And while the destination may have been virtual, the memories created,
and lessons learned were very much real.

What are the aims of the project / activity?
1. Cultural and Language Immersion: Immerse students in the diverse cultures of Spanish-speaking countries, fostering
an appreciation for their customs, traditions, and linguistic differences.
2. Interdisciplinary and Critical Thinking: Integrate various subjects like language, mathematics, and digital technology
to promote cross-curricular connections, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
3. Digital Literacy and Presentation Skills: Develop proficiency in using digital tools such as PowerPoint or Canva to
create engaging presentations, enhancing communication skills and digital literacy.
4. Autonomous Learning and Collaboration: Encourage students to take ownership of their learning process while
fostering collaboration, teamwork, and cultural appreciation as they plan and present their trip proposals.
How did you plan for it? How did you organise it?
Planning for "Exploring Language and Culture Through Travel" requires minimal resources, mainly access to the internet
and active student engagement. Over the past three years, the project has been streamlined to focus on what matters
most.

Feedback from students has been utilised to refine the project's objectives and materials, ensuring alignment with
learning outcomes.

engagement, as well as to follow each student or group's journey.
