Spotlight on Schools, Exploring Language and Culture Through Travel
How was the project successful?
The project's success is visible in the students' engagement and enthusiasm throughout the planning process, their
deepened understanding and appreciation of Spanish-speaking cultures, as well as their enhanced language skills
demonstrated in their presentations and interactions. Additionally, the project's impact extends beyond the classroom,
as students demonstrate a newfound confidence in exploring and embracing diverse cultures, fostering a sense of
global citizenship and cultural empathy.
Their testimonials speak for themselves!
“Taking part in the trip planning
activity was actually enjoyable. I didn’t think it would
be at the start, and actually thought it would be a lot of work.
But, it was cool to use the language for something real and in a
real way looking up flights and accommodation
was fun and had made me think how cool it would be
to actually go on this trip”

“To be honest, I kind of find the language stuff difficult, but at
least in this activity I was able to have a bit of fun planning
the trip and picking things that I would like
to do if I went to that place”
